Hüppauf Chesterman Architects Pty. Ltd. possess wide experience with residential and boutique commercial projects.
We proficiently undertake all stages of the design process, from Sketch Design to Contract Administration, on large and small projects alike. Recently completed work includes new houses, residential apartment developments, hotel rooms and function areas, feasibility studies, renovations to heritage listed dwellings, a boutique rooftop bar, CBD medical suites plus multiple addition and alteration projects.
The practice began in 2000 when Anna Hüppauf, after studying at the HDK Berlin, UC Canberra and UNSW Sydney, completed a series of inner city additions and alterations projects.
John Chesterman, joined the practice in 2015 after many years as Associate Director at TZG Architects, following a period working in Berlin. Previous experience includes senior involvement with well known award winning projects in large scale public, private and commercial architecture.
We enjoy working locally and sustainably. Each of our projects elegantly capitalizes on opportunities sought and understood through the process of converting our clients aims into built form. Our design solutions are straightforward and people oriented, creating light filled efficient spaces. Services and structural integration, green values and heritage sensitivity all play an important part in our work. We understand how to manage consultants and budgets, and are experienced in negotiating the complexities of the planning and heritage approval processes.
